"body_text": "A voltage or pin operation safe on one development board can damage another from the same manufacturer. BoardSafety converts vendor datasheets and hardware guides into board-specific rule bases, then pairs proposed operations with the applicable rule and one of three labels: safe, unsafe or insufficient information. The benchmark includes boundary conditions, missing facts and operations whose answer depends on the exact board. Giving models the relevant rules generally improved accuracy, while structured-rationale prompting helped inconsistently across models and access settings. The authors conclude that the tested systems cannot yet make reliable board-safety decisions. The benchmark is an evaluation resource, not a substitute for documentation, instrumentation or an engineer's review.",
